What is Neuromuscular Rehabilitation?

What is Neuromuscular Rehabilitation?

The Doctors at Bristol Chiropractic Centre, P.C. are trained in tailoring a specific rehabilitation program to assist recovery and enhance brain performance. Our specific techniques involving balance/coordination exercises, visual/color stimulations, and auditory stimulations, and have been successfully used by a variety of individuals suffering from many neuromuscular conditions, (movement disorders, balance disorders, fibromyalgia, and pain symdromes.) Neuromuscular reeducation is also used to improve posture, kinesthetic sense, and proprioception.

Our Spinal Rehabilitation Program consists of specific exercises that target your core muscles, in other words, the muscles that stabilize and facilitate movement through the center of your body. These muscles are not only your abdominal muscles, they are the muscles of your entire torso. These muscles enable you to stand erect,  they protect your spine from injury, and if you have suffered a low back injury, re-training these muscles can successfully prevent re-injury. nmr.jpg

Spinal strengthening exercises can be performed at any skill level, and our Doctors and Staff are skillfully trained in adapting the exercises to ages and exercise abilities.
